Dacryodes edulis is a fruit tree also called Atanga, Plum, Nsafu or Butterfruit.
This fruit must be cooked and is usually eaten as a side with salt the taste is little bit sour due to the high amino acids. It can be deep in boiling water for two minutes or fried in a pan.
The concentrations of potassium, calcium and magnesium make this fruit a Superfood.
